Main Aluminum Alloy Grades and Their Characteristics
ZL101A/A356.0 Series Aluminum Alloy
ZL101A (A356.0) is an improved version of ZL101, with the following key differences:
- Stricter impurity control:
Fe content limited to < 0.2% (vs. 0.9% in standard ZL101) - Reduced Mn content:
≤0.10% (vs. ≤0.35% in standard ZL101) - Addition of Ti:
0.08–0.20%, serving to refine grain structure
Applications:
This high-purity aluminum alloy is particularly suitable for castings requiring high mechanical performance and surface quality, such as aerospace structural components.
